Expanding our team in Sofia, Bulgaria, we are looking for a Tax Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Advising and supporting on understanding and/or addressing the tax implications of the business operations, with focus on value added tax (VAT) and withholding taxes;
- Overseeing the preparation, review, and submission of tax returns and all related tax documentation;
- Handling the application of double taxation relief for non-resident vendors' income, including all related communications;
- Coordinating communication with both domestic and international tax authorities during tax audits and managing the collaboration with other departments to address inquiries from tax authorities.
- Organizing the appealing of tax acts in defense of the Group’s entities interest, as well as all other tax related proceedings;
- Performing regular reviews of the tax related documentation of the business operations, providing advice and assistance with planning for business decisions, suggesting and assisting with implementing respective changes;
- Organizing the monitoring of the relevant domestic and international tax legislation changes and developments, communicating the effects of these changes and developments within the tax team and to the group management, and developing implementation strategies;
- Cooperating and communicating with external tax and other advisors of the Group;
- Supervising and leading the junior members of the Tax team, participating actively in the processes of their selection, training and mentoring to achieve greater levels of effectiveness and engagement.
Requirements:
- University degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Law or a related field;
- At least 5-6 years of professional experience in a Tax role;
- Computer literacy, advanced skills in working with MS Office;
- Fluent English language skills (written & verbal); German language (written & verbal) will be considered a strong advantage.
