Responsibilities
- Owns, manages and proactively fines tune SUNOTEC’s Waste Management System, applied across all buildings and locations where SUNOTEC has a renewable energy project;
- Coordinates waste logistics worldwide;
- Creates Waste Management Plans for renewable energy projects worldwide;
- Ensures all waste generated by the company is correctly classified, transported and disposed of in the most preferable way from a circularity perspective;
- Handles SUNOTEC waste vendor selection, onboarding and management worldwide;
- Coordinates all waste-related activities with project staff and facility managers;
- Be responsible for internal and external waste reporting, such as customers, authorities, etc.;
- Manages all Extended Producer Responsibility compliance for electronics, batteries and packaging imported into EU countries, which includes data gathering, reporting, compliance scheme selection and relationship management;
- Opportunities to be involved in all other sustainability-related activities at SUNOTEC;
Requirements
- Degree in Environment, Sustainability, or a related field;
- 3-5 years of managing waste/environmental programs or projects – either compliance or operational;
- Great project/program management skills and an ability to move forward multiple actions simultaneously ;
- Great communicator, good influencing skills and comfortable coordinating across multiple stakeholders;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Organized, proactive, and able to navigate a very dynamic work environment;
- Excellent English skills;
- Experience with construction site waste management and/or more than 1 European geography is a plus;
- Passion for environmental protection.
