Job Title:  Sustainability Project Manager

Sustainability is deeply embedded SUNOTEC’s ethos as a company and all our actions are in this aspect are centered around our Sustainability strategy and its 3 pillars: Climate, Land & Resources and People. Various sustainability programs support the implementation of this strategy.

 

Expanding our team in Sofia, Bulgaria, we are looking for a Sustainability Project Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the identification and selection of sustainability initiatives related to solar/BESS power plants in Bulgaria;
  • Comes up with creative ways to turn ideas into reality;
  • Designates suitable partners/suppliers for each initiative, if applicable;
  • Coordinates the implementation of initiatives to ensure timely and compliant delivery;
  • Ensures project documentation meets highest standards, including creating templates, negotiating contractual terms, aligning with internal stakeholders, etc.;
  • Communicates with various external stakeholders during the project’s lifecycle;
  • Overseeing the implementation of initiatives on site;
  • Opportunities to be involved in all other non-project-related activities related to sustainability at SUNOTEC.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Sustainability, ESG or a related field;
  • 3-5 years of experience implementing sustainability programs or projects;
  • Great project management skills and an ability to move forward multiple actions simultaneously;
  • Great communicator, good influencing skills and comfortable coordinating across multiple stakeholders;
  • Ability to travel to project sites every once in a while (mostly Bulgaria);
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Organized, proactive, and able to navigate a dynamic work environment;
  • Full proficiency in Bulgarian and English;
  • German language – considered an advantage;
  • Passion for sustainability.
