Expanding our team in Sofia, Bulgaria, we are looking for a Senior Financial Controller (Accounting Oversight).

Responsibilities:

• Review and validate financial data provided by local accounting teams across multiple countries.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of trial balances, Profit & Loss statements, and Balance Sheets.
• Oversee and coordinate the month-end closing process.
• Review and challenge accounting entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure proper cost allocation and consistent accounting treatment across entities.
• Monitor and improve the quality of monthly financial statements and reporting.
• Define and track key financial KPIs.
• Standardize accounting processes and reporting formats across countries.
• Act as a key point of contact for audits.
• Collaborate closely with project controlling and finance teams.

Requirements:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial controlling;
• Strong knowledge of financial statements and closing processes;
• Experience in multi-entity / international environments;
• Audit experience is an advantage;
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies;
• Advanced MS Excel skills; ERP experience (SAP preferred);
• Fluent English.
