Expanding our team in Sofia, Bulgaria, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Participates in daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting close processes and ensures all results are submitted on time for a Group of Companies on an international level;
• Processing financial and accounting documents;
• Reconciles and tracks account balances;
• Calculates and posts accruals and provisions;
• Provides data and reports to external and internal stakeholders;
• Prepares and submits information, data and reports to tax and customs authorities;
• Verifies and reviews tax depreciation plans;
• Prepares VAT, VIES, Intrastats and other reports for NRA, NSI and BNB.

Requirements:

• University degree in Finance and Accounting;
• Previous experience in Accounting - at least 4-5 years;
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and GAAP principles and their application in financial reporting;
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant financial analysis tools.);
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a critical and open-minded approach;
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German is a plus and will be highly regarded;
• ACCA qualification or any relevant financial certification is a strong plus;
• Previous experience working with SAP will be considered an advantage;
• Previous experience in a construction company will be considered an advantage;
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
