Expanding our team in Munich, Germany we are looking for a Payroll Accountant, Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independent processing of monthly payroll in compliance with all applicable tax, labor, and social security regulations (ideally using DATEV);
• Timely preparation and submission of all relevant reports to social security institutions and tax authorities;
• First point of contact for all payroll-related matters concerning international employees – including special tax topics and social security assessments;
• Support with tax filings for foreign employees working in Germany, as well as communication with tax authorities;
• Collaboration with auditors, authorities, and internal departments (e.g., HR, Finance, Tax);
• Contribution to the ongoing improvement and optimization of internal payroll processes;
• Clear and professional communication in both German and English.

Requirements:

• Completed commercial training, ideally with a focus on payroll accounting;
• Solid knowledge of German income tax and social security regulations;
• Experience with DATEV or comparable payroll software is an advantage;
• Interest in and familiarity with international tax law, especially in relation to cross-border employee assignments and double taxation agreements;
• Excellent command of both German and English, written and spoken;
• A structured and detail-oriented working style, combined with a high level of initiative and strong team spirit;
• Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, international environment.
