Expanding our team in Munich, Germany, we are looking for a PPA Originator.

Responsibilities:

• Development, structuring and negotiation of power purchase agreements (PPAs) for ground-mounted PV systems Technical and commercial evaluation of project opportunities (feasibility, risks, profitability);
• Establishment and maintenance of business relationships with off-taker partners (industrial customers, utilities, energy traders);
• Analysis of market, price and risk structures for the design of bankable PPA models;
• Close cooperation with project development, financing, legal and technical departments;
• Supporting project financing through the commercial structuring of long-term purchase agreements;
• Identifying new PPA market opportunities and product developments (e.g. corporate PPAs, sleeved PPAs);
• Conducting commercial contract negotiations through to conclusion (term sheets, heads of terms);
• Supporting implementation after contract conclusion in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Degree in economics, industrial engineering, energy management, engineering or similar;
• Several years of professional experience in the energy market, ideally in the field of PPAs, renewable energies or electricity trading;
• In-depth knowledge of PPA structures (e.g. corporate PPAs, utility PPAs, pay-as-produced, baseload);
• Very good understanding of electricity markets, pricing mechanisms and risk structures;
• Experience in commercial negotiations and concluding long-term contracts;
• Confident handling of financial models and profitability analyses of PV projects;
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team (law, finance, technology, project development);
• Business fluent German and English;
• Independent, structured and entrepreneurial approach to work;
• Willingness to move to Munich.
