Expanding our team in Sofia, Bulgaria, we are looking for a a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MikroTik, Huawei or other networking equipment, as well as a strong understanding of firewall technologies and network security principles.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure using MikroTik, Huawei and other devices;
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability;
• Implement and manage firewall policies and security protocols;
• Perform network upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime;
• Deploy and maintain site-to-site VPNs for secure inter-office connectivity and client VPNs to support remote access for employees and partners;
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to enforce network security standards;
• Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments;
• Design, implement, and maintain optical ring networks to support resilient, high-speed, and scalable communication systems;
• Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and security across servers, networks, and cloud platforms;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and disaster recovery strategies;
• Infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency;
• Provide technical guidance and support for network and systems troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis;
• Maintain documentation of network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Information technology, Network engineering, Telecommunications or other relevant qualifications;

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role;
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and network protocols;
• Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls and VPNs;
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools;
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices;
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
