Expanding our UK operations, we are looking for a Grid Connection Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Manage utility scale solar PV and/or BESS projects;
• Providing technical assistance during project development for all factors influencing and influenced by the grid connection;
• Performing technical due diligence/ Risk assessment on grid connection scheme/ grid offers received from DNO/TNO;
• Providing cost estimates and grid connection delivery time, schedules to business development;
• Managing and being responsible for the process for grid applications, ensuring they are submitted in a timely manner and progress through the DNO/TNO processes;
• Maintaining relation the DNO/TNO to support grid application;
• Reviewing technical designs for MV/HV and establishing preliminary designs;
• Managing contractors and suppliers of different elements required for grid connection;
• Negotiating and developing grid connection designs;
• Providing general grid expertise and grid intelligence;
• Managing certification process of grid connection;
• Commissioning of MV stations and management of contractors to commissioning HV stations;
• Ensuring Protection testing is done as required and managing contractors and service providers for protection testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electrical Engineering;
• Experience in grid connection;
• Knowledge of MV and HV and Protection concepts;
• Experience in MV and HV construction management;
• Knowledge of Grid connection standards like the VDE-AR-N 41xx series;
• TABs and other relevant standards;
• Simulation knowledge is a plus;
• Switching permit is a plus.
• Driving license;
• Good communication skills,
• Negotiation skills;
• Very good skills in English, spoken and written.
