SUNOTEC positions itself as an integrated solution provider, covering all services from geology, procurement, engineering and construction services to operations and maintenance and re-powering of plants with a large focus on BESS.
Expanding our team in Munich, Germany we are looking for an experienced HSE Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Implement on-site work instructions, safety regulations, and method statements in line with German laws;
- Instruct and supervise personnel to ensure adherence to safety protocols; conduct daily HSE briefings and toolbox talks;
- Identify hazards and conduct risk assessments, and implement measures to prevent workplace accidents and illnesses;
- Develop and implement the Health and Safety Plan (SiGe-Plan), and coordinate safe work practices across contractors and teams;
- Perform regular site inspections and audits, and document safety incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions;
- Ensure compliance with German labor laws, insurance regulations and industry standards, and maintain documentation for legal and insurance purposes.
Requirements:
- Training in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Construction or a related field;
- Proven experience in health and safety on-site, preferably in the construction industry;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of German health and safety regulations and standards is preferable;
- Certification in health and safety norms in Germany preferable;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Fluency in both German and English.
