Expanding our team in Sofia, Bulgaria, we are looking for a Grid Connection & Commissioning Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Head of Tax of the Group and the Tax Managers in all tax related affairs and provides updates on the progress of all active projects and tasks;
  • Manages the commissioning of projects for solar photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage systems, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, safety protocols, and industry standards;
  • Negotiates technical requirements, grid connection agreements, and timelines;
  • Ensures all regulatory, environmental, and electrical standards for interconnection are met;
  • Oversees the installation of high-voltage lines, substations, metering equipment, and communication links between the PV park and the grid;
  • Organizes pre-commissioning checks and performance testing;
  • Develops and maintains commissioning processes, prepares project-specific commissioning plans, and test protocols;
  • Proactively identifies and escalates issues affecting project safety, budget, or schedule, proposing effective solutions when necessary;
  • Prepares regular reports to management on project status and operations.

 

Requirements:

  • Higher education – Technical degree related to energy networks and power equipment or equivalent experience;
  • Extensive experience in the commissioning of solar photovoltaic system projects and in-depth knowledge of battery energy storage systems;
  • Experience with wind power plants – considered an advantage
  • Deep understanding of grid connection requirements and testing standards;
  • Computer literacy – proficiency in software related to energy system management and power equipment;
  • Fluency in English.
