SUNOTEC positions itself as an integrated solution provider, covering all services from geology, procurement, engineering and construction services to operations and maintenance and re-powering of plants with a large focus on BESS.

 

Expanding our team in Sofia, Bulgaria, we are looking for an Expert Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

Responsibilities:

  • Supports effective and transparent mandatory extended producer responsibility (EPR) of SUNOTEC for electronic equipment, batteries and packaging to achieve environmental compliance;
  • Conducts research for the countries SUNOTEC operates and assesses environmental compliance requirements;
  • Shortlists approved producer compliance schemes for the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), batteries and packaging for the countries SUNOTEC operates;
  • Reports periodically relevant quantities of WEEE, batteries and packaging to producer compliance scheme and/or a public register;
  • Communicates with chosen producer compliance schemes for formalizing the scope of common activities;
  • Interact with multiple stakeholders including Government Agencies, producer compliance schemes, ESG team;
  • Collects internal information supporting tracking of quantities reported and covered for eco fees;
  • Supports Turnkey Operations Director and Project Managers in all EPR related affairs and provides updates on the progress of all active projects and tasks;
  • Demonstrates and develops further attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to work relatively independently.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Ecology, Sustainability Management;
  • Experience with regulatory filings and reports or equivalent;
  • Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams;
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience;
  • Fluent English (written & verbal).
