Expanding our team in Bucharest, Romania, we are looking for a Head of Design Engineering, Romania.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate all engineering activities for PV, BESS, and grid connection projects in Romania;
  • Review and adapt design documentation from company’s HQ (LV, MV, HV, SCADA, Civil) to Romanian standards: I7/2011, SR EN 50160, ANRE Order 51/2019, etc.;
  • Oversee the technical documentation required for ATR, urbanism permits, construction authorizations, and grid approvals;
  • Maintain close coordination with HQ Design Department, local design subcontractors, and grid operators (DSO/TSO);
  • Validate engineering deliverables and ensure conformity between design and execution (“as-built” documentation);
  • Manage engineering budgets, schedules, and document control;
  • Support commercial and tendering teams with technical documentation, layouts, and BoQs;
  • Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning phases;
  • Establish internal procedures, templates, and technical standards for Romanian entity;
  • Report project engineering status, risks, and resource needs to the Managing Director.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Power Engineering (or related field);
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in design and execution for PV or energy projects;
  • Proven understanding of Romanian grid connection processes and technical legislation;
  • Knowledge of IEC/EN/ANRE standards, FIDIC documentation, and permit workflows;
  • Sufficient AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Office skills;
  • ANRE Authorization – advantage;
  • Excellent English and Romanian communication;
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and coordination skills.
